North Lakes Sports Club has announced a new round of funding for summer sports of the back of $60,000 in previous sporting club grants awarded earlier this year.
CSC Group Sport & Community Manager Tony Clarke, said the new round of funding will be targeted specifically at sporting clubs and associations who operate primarily during the summer season.
“This funding announcement follows on from the previous winter sports grants which delivered $60,000 in community grants that was announced in February this year,” Mr Clarke said.
“That round of funding saw $60,000 delivered to nine sporting groups including The Lakes Football Club, North Lakes Mustangs Soccer, North Lakes Leopards Junior Rugby Union, North Lakes District Kangaroos Rugby League, North Lakes Blues Netball, Lakers Softball, North Lakes Eels Junior Australian Football, Redcliffe Tigers Australian Football and Pine Rivers Boars.”
Mr Clarke said the Club was now seeking sponsorship applications for the upcoming 2017-18 summer season from local sporting clubs and associations that consider the North Lakes region as their primary catchment area.
“This funding is typically used by sporting clubs to assist with coaching & official education, uniforms and sporting equipment.
“We have identified the Moreton Bay Regional Council Divisions 4 & 7 as the areas to be covered by our North Lakes community support program, which includes the areas of North Lakes, Mango Hill, Murrumba Downs, Kallangur, Dakabin and Deception Bay.”
Applications for North Lakes Sports Club’s Summer Sporting Development Fund close Monday 17th July 2017.
