North Lakes Sports Club’s Winter Sport Grants now open

Winter Sports

North Lakes Sports Club has announced applications for its Winter Season Sports Grants are now open.

CSC Group Sports & Community Manager, Tony Clarke said the club was looking for local sporting clubs and associations that need support for their upcoming 2019 winter season.

“If your club considers the North Lakes region as its primary catchment area (then we are keen to see your application,” Mr Clarke said.

“Generally speaking, we consider this to be sporting clubs and associations that operate within Moreton Bay Regional Council Divisions Four and Seven.

“We’re seeking applications from clubs who primarily operate during the winter season and they must be an affiliated, not-for-profit sporting club or an association.

“Previous Summer Grants recipients for mid-2018 are excluded from applying for this round of sponsorship, to allow us to open up funding to other sporting groups.

Since opening its doors in 2017, North Lakes Sports Club has provided a total of 32 seasonal sporting sponsorships across four rounds of sporting development funding, covering more than 5,000 participants.

For the 2018 calendar year, this totalled over $60,000 in grants to sporting clubs, as well as maintenance costs for sporting complexes leased by CSC Group to further support local sport in North Lakes.

Applications for the 2019 winter sporting grants close on Friday 1st February 2019 with the announcement of successful clubs expected to take place in early February.
